About the Artist:
Turi grew up in Norfolk, and owns a framing gallery in the house that natives remember as Doctor Barstow's office. Where once children nervously read Highlights Magazine while waiting their turn to see the kindly physician, now varying art exhibits adorn what has been tastefully converted in to a gallery.

Turi Rostad attended Syracuse University and received a B.A. from Arizona State University. She has pieces in collections in Exeter, New Hampshire; New York; Palm Beach, Florida; and Scottsdale, Arizona. Turi has received awards from the Magidani Gallery in Scottsdale and the Hartford International Show.

Turi's artwork is a satisfying blurred reality; charcoal landscapes beckon and dare the viewer to enter. Turi's work is always fresh and present and seduces by demanding audience participation.
